Clean and cut meat, place in a soup kettle with water and put on low heat. Peel turnips and cut clices against the grain and soak briefly in water. Peel carrots and slice. Add turnips and carrots to boiling broth. Then add chopped tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, salt and spices. Simmer on low heat for about an hour. Add potatoes cut in equal-sized pieces. When the potatoes are tender, the dish is ready.
