Boiled meat


  • 500 g of mutton or beef
  • 500 g of turnips or carrots
  • 1 chilli pepper
  • 15 black peppercorns
  • A few sprigs of dill
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt to taste


Cut meat into 150-200 g pieces and put in a large pot of boiling water. Add turnips or carrots, salt, peppercorns, bay leaves, dill, chilli pepper and cook at a low boil for 1 to 1-1,5 hours. Remove meat and vegetables, cut into slices and serve.
