Zangi-ata complex is situated in Zangi-ata settlement near Tashkent in southwestern direction. Architectural monuments which had been constructed at the site of sheikh Ay-Hodja burial, nicknamed Zangi-ata, represent great historical and artistic value.
The grand opening of the theatre in honour of A.Navoi took place in November 1947, during the celebration of the 500th anniversary of A.Navoi. The modern building of the theatre was built under the project of academician in architecture A.V. Shusev, who was also the architect of Mausoleum of Lenin in Moscow.
Construction of Tashkent TV tower had begun in 1978 and on January 15th, 1978 it began work. Its height is 375 meters which is 75 meters higher than the famous Eiffel tower. Weight of Tashkent TV tower is 6000 tons, 3000 tons less than the creation of Eiffel.
The Courage Monument is the symbolic monument of strength of Tashkent citizens.
On 26lh of April, 1966 as the result of a devastating earthquake (7-8 point according to the Richter’s scale) many houses, factories, cultural, medical and educational places were severely da-maged.
